Many leaders have difficulty recognizing their limitations or more importantly identifying practices for improvement. Leadership development programs that foster individuals understanding of how their behavior affects others are more effective in supporting lasting change.

An essential characteristic of any leader is self-awareness.  We all have strengths and weaknesses.  We are human and not perfect. That said, being willing to identify that which we do well as we lead others and that which we could do better is a critical step to improving our relationships, and our ability to mentor and guide others and enjoy more productive results.

EVERYTHING DISC WORK OF LEADERS® is a personal development assessment tool designed to provide an individual’s understanding of his or her leadership style, give leaders a framework for understanding leadership best practices focusing specifically on vision, alignment and execution and provide tips and guidance for improving leadership effectiveness.

We all can recognize leaders who have great ideas, energy and excitement but cannot channel that enthusiasm into focused action.  They gain followers but struggle with providing a plan of action or fail to address problems promptly or productively.

Or the manager who has vision, and passion and is strong in getting things done but fails to recognize or acknowledge when team members are frustrated, hedging and not 100% on board.

Worse yet, the leader is too concerned about the ramifications of holding members accountable, that they ignore or avoid addressing the problem, while the rest of the team suffers.

A person’s effectiveness as a leader is influenced by many things, however, being aware of our strengths and more importantly, our challenges in leadership situations will improve our effectiveness in creating a vision, building alignment among our team members and driving productive execution.

When individuals complete the EVERYTHING DISC WORK OF LEADERS® assessment, a personalized profile will highlight strengths, challenges and tangible steps for improvement.  With understanding, and appreciation of one’s attributes and approaches to apply more effective behaviors their skills will improve and become second nature.

The EVERYTHING DISC WORK OF LEADERS® assessment, coaching and training program highlights these essential behaviors and methods for improving one’s conscious awareness and application.

Why is this so Important?

Mission, vision and values are the foundation of a business. It is what
creates the culture in the organization, and it is what guides people and
decisions. Many small businesses do not take the time or energy to create
these simple yet powerful statements. Although, many small business
leaders would argue they survived in business without them, how many LARGE
organizations do you know that do not have them?

It is critical for any new business, or one experiencing major growth,
change in leadership, or find themselves at a point in their development
that taking a step back, re-evaluating their future goals, what is important,
what’s meaningful, and what will take the organization to the next level, is
when investing in mission, vision and values clarity sessions are essential.
The communication among leaders and owners, the debates, the dreams, the
“what ifs” fuel energy and focus, laying the foundation and strength
on which to expand upon, grow from, or simply determine what products or
services they need to let go of.

Organizations are like people, they get in their comfort zones operating
consistently and productively for years, then they find the technology
advances, demands of employees, consumer expectations, regulations and rules
have changed.  Most organizations adapt and grow with these subtle
movements, and make the necessary changes prescribed – but many find they
simply are not keeping up with the competition.

All organizations have faced serious decisions and dilemmas in the past years
with the advent of COVID.  It exposed many of the painful aspects of
their business that were either neglected, avoided or simply unaware of its
impact on their bottom line. These pain points may have multiple causes and
multiple solutions, with clarity of the organization’s vision, strategies can be
aligned throughout the organization and laser-focused solutions
generated.

Utilizing Blasch Consulting to facilitate a mission, vision
and values clarity session – providing clarity of purpose and direction with
sound values establishing a roadmap for the future.  Although many
businesses survive without these essential elements – how many really thrive?
